Research Assistance

DCGS is always glad to be able to help in your genealogical research, whether it is questions regarding local research, queries for "The Review", publications or general information about DuPage County.

Members of DCGS volunteer at the Wheaton Public Library on Thursday evenings from 7 - 9 p.m. to help those interested in researching their family history. The WPL has readers and printers for both microfiche and microfilm and numerous volumes of reference materials that span the nation and the world. Computers with access to Ancestry Library Edition, HeritageQuest Online and other resources are also available.

If you are searching for families or individuals in DuPage County history and you have a concise question, you may send your inquiry to requests@dcgs.org or to the mailing address below.  Local members will spend up to an hour on your request. This service is FREE to members and you may make 2 requests annually.

If you are a non-member, you may also make a request. DCGS asks for a $10 donation for up to an hour of research.  Make your check payable to DCGS and mail your request to:

They have volunteered their names to do research for a fee.  They are members of DCGS but are not endorsed by the Society.  It should be clearly understood that this list is provided as a service for your convenience. No guarantee is made or implied by DCGS on the quality of the work. All arrangements must be made directly with the researcher.
