For the past eight years, Jeffrey A. Bockman has been applying his engineering, management and computer background to analytical problem solving and to the record organization so necessary for genealogical research. Chairman of the DCGS Education Committee, Jeff takes an active role in teaching Beginning Genealogy Classes and Seminars.
A descendant of the original pioneers who settled Freistadt, WI in 1839, LeRoy Boehlke has written several books on the settlement of Freistadt and about Pommerania and Germany. He is the editor of the Pommerascher Verein Freistadt newsletter.
Donald W. Jackanicz, Assistant Director of the National Archives - Great Lakes Region, is uniquely qualified in the area of document preservation. His presentation, Preserving Your Family Records, is an adaptation of his half-day workshop given at the Archives.
Patricia Reaves, a native of Hamburg, Germany has been a teacher of German in secondary schools for ten years. Patricia was the Genealogy Consultant for the Max Kade Institute of German Studies and has spoken at several workshops throughout the Midwest.
A well-known professional genealogist and lecturer at the National level, Joy Reisinger is a writer and publisher of several books and periodicals and an expert on Canadian research. Her three sessions on methodology will convey practical hints drawn from her vast experience.
